A feather in the cap was added in the achievements of Govt. College of Yoga Education & Health with the opening of 38 centers under AYUSH Department under which free yoga classes are being conducted free of cost for the General Public at various Government Schools of the city beautiful. The administration, management & execution of these centers is being granted to GCYEH vide letter no.2438/FII(6)2017/10028 dated 15/09/2017 issued by Secretary Health, U.T. Administration, Chandigarh and is funded by AYUSH department. Further now these centers have increased to 47 out of which 10 are Health and Wellness centers opened under the AYUSHMAN Bharat Scheme.
The objective of these centers is to promote and propagate Yogic lifestyle among the residents of the city beautiful, creating awareness among the public to imbibe yoga in their daily routine and attain holistic health.
